Get to Know Me

My house is filled with the pitter-patter of little feet (ok, maybe more like the rumblings of a herd of elephants, there are 5 of them after all), twenty questions (or 50 if it’s close to bedtime), kissed boo-boos, and a great deal of laughter. My favorite things are tea parties with my children, reading a good book (preferably without interruption), and date nights with my amazing husband. My faith is what grounds and supports me and I look to reflect God’s love and light through my life as much as humanly possible and work to grow closer to him daily.

I am a physician by calling, but photography has always been a passion that allows me the ability to express both my creative side and my love for those around me in a different and special way. I enjoy the emotion and stories that can be found in photos and strive to show the uniqueness of the person before me in my photographs. My favorite pictures of my own family capture my child’s special interest, costume, or a frequent expression that melts my heart or makes me laugh.

I am amazed by the transitions that occur in childhood, whether its the sweet breath and snuggles of a newborn cradled in its mothers arms, the toddler gaining independence and attitude, the 5-8 year olds imaginative play and curiosity about the workings of the world, the tweens humor, or the teens increasing maturity and self awareness.
